Don Rusczynski | Lead Vocals

“Rock and roll will never die.” I can attest to that since I have been doing this off and on for some 40 odd years.

Some of the bands I’ve been associated with are Summerhill (Holiday Inn rock and roll), Brighton (rock and brass), and more recently The Grid (classic rock). To quote Bad Company, “I love the music and I love to see the crowd dancing in the aisles and singing out loud” (Rock and Roll Fantasy, Bad Company, 1979).

Jim played in his first band in 1970 and has been performing regularly at Clubs, Social events, and at church services since then. Currently studying under the direction of George Furlow, one of Pittsburgh‘s finest saxophonist.

Greg Murphy | Keyboard

Native to the Pittsburgh area, Greg  “Murph” Murphy began his career on the keyboard playing cocktail music at restaurants and lounges in the Pittsburgh area at the age of 16. He began performing with other band members shortly after that and has been very fortunate to work with many talented musicians in the Tri-State area.

Noted inspirations include Thelonius Monk, Art Tatum, Stevie Wonder, and Steely Dan.

Performing on stage with other fellow musicians is a privilege that he hopes to enjoy and appreciate for many years to come.

John Platt |

John has been playing the guitar since he was 12 and has been playing professionally in bands since he was 16. He has a degree in guitar performance from Carnegie Mellon University and has also played professionally in the classical guitar and jazz genres. John has performed throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Maybe it’s because of the shared monogram, but John’s favorite guitar players are Jimmy Page and Joe Pass.
